Women’s health is about more than treating illness — it is about having the knowledge, support and confidence to take care of yourself.
Women across Gauteng continue to face a range of health and wellbeing challenges. Recent discussions at the Gauteng Legislature’s 2026 Women’s Sector Parliament highlighted issues affecting women, including healthcare, economic inclusion, education and other social challenges.
At the same time, Gauteng’s public healthcare system is experiencing significant pressure, including shortages of nursing staff. The provincial health department has reported that more than 1,200 clinical positions are currently at various stages of recruitment, while the province continues working to address longer-term staffing gaps.
These challenges make personal wellness and health awareness increasingly important. While wellness programmes cannot replace professional medical care, they can encourage women to become more informed about nutrition, movement, stress management, healthy habits and when to seek appropriate professional support.
At Take the Lead, our approach is centred on helping women make practical, sustainable changes. From nutrition and weight management to menopause coaching, breathwork and group exercise, our services are designed to support different stages of a woman’s wellness journey.
Your health deserves attention before it becomes an emergency. Start with one healthy choice, one conversation and one step at a time.
